①设计制版

Design plate making

由于珠光纸主要是体现纸张珠光的华丽效果，如果印刷油墨的面积很大，一则体现不出纸张的珠光效果，二则纸张的珠光效果通过墨层已经大大削弱。所以，我们在设计制版时应根据珠光纸的特点尽量避免大面积的实地图案印刷。一般设计一些简单的线条、图案、文字，既可以突出包装内容的重点，又可以显示出纸张的华丽效果。

②生产工艺

Production process

由于珠光纸的珠光颗粒容易破碎，半成品经不起反复的转序、摩擦，所以生产的工艺路线应尽量短一些，取消一些可有可无的工艺环节，特别是那些手工参与较多的环节。能一次印刷完成的不用两次，能用胶印印刷的不用丝网印刷，能连机上光的不脱机上光，当然可以不上光的坚决不上光，因为上光会大大削弱珠光纸的珠光效果。

目前有三种油墨可用于珠光纸的印刷，依据它们的印刷效果好坏依次为：UV油墨、非吸收性纸印刷专用油墨和普通油墨。
