（1）表面珠光效果易被破坏。

由于云母和二氧化钛(或其它金属氧化物)组成的薄片结构表面光滑，且在造纸过程中纸面要求比较光洁(这样珠光效果才能更好地穿过涂层进入人眼)，致使珠光纸比普通白板纸的表面能要小得多，在印刷时油墨不易附着吸收、不容易干燥。

（3）珠光效果容易丢失，印刷容易形成白点、发花、折痕等现象。
