珠光纸的构成和普通白板纸相同，即由底层纤维、填料和表面涂层三部分组成。与普通白板纸不同的是其表面涂层中有形成珠光效果的颗粒。该颗粒由 二氧化钛（或是其它金属氧化物）和云母颗粒组成，云母颗粒被二氧化钛（或其它金属氧化物）包裹而形成，此结构呈薄片状。
