珠光颜料是一种光泽性颜料:无毒，无味，耐酸碱，不易燃，不易爆，不导电，不迁移，易分散，具有较高的耐热性与耐侯性，完全符合严格的环保要求。珠光颜料具有金属颜料的闪光效果，又能产生天然珍珠的柔和色泽，它的闪光效果是被动发光的，也就是说在受光的条件下才会显现出闪光效应。
